I survived nearly 15 years as a software developer/technology consultant and, as the Indigo Girls say, I've just finished spending "four years prostrate to the higher mind" at Guilford College. But, now that I've got my paper, I'm still not free because I'm going on to pursue a Ph.D. at

Why?!   Because I've become quite passionate about researching the ways technology can improve learning.

As I pursue my research, I'll post updates on my Research page.

When I'm not trapped at my computer writing papers I like to play disc golf, I bake a mean cheesecake and I am working at improving my digital photography skills. Oh, and I'm starting to learn how to play the guitar.

Because I can't seem to break the code jockey habit, I also do websites for friends and small companies. Check out my Projects page.

Here is MIT's visual data portrait of my* online identity (persona). *Take "my" with a grain of salt. Want to see your* persona, visit http://personas.media.mit.edu/personasWeb. Would you prefer to read about personas before you run off and have yours* made? Check out personas.
